Welcome message from Pastor Grant Belles:
We at Emmaus Road Church would like to invite you to come and worship with us. We are a growing family that places a great emphasis on the Word of God. His Word gives us comfort and guidance in our life-oriented church that loves to teach the truth of His Word and praise Him in song. We desire to be Exciting, Energetic, and Engaging in ministry!
The Move! Yes, It is official. The building on Potters Lane has been sold. This is not a sad or depressing moment. God is moving Emmaus Road Church towards lots of new ministry opportunities. This move will give the church a chance to be completely debt free so that our tithe and donations will go straight towards ministry work. It will give our pastors time and resources to do more ministry, hospital visits, getting into the Word, counseling, etc... This move will open doors that financially we were not able to open before. God has blessed us with an opportunity to move more into His work. Emmaus Road Church is not a building. It never has been. Emmaus Road Church is you, it's me, it's the body of Christ that gets together to worship and praise our heavenly Father. It's the people that are willing to be His hands and Feet. It's a family.
To some this may look like a step back, but it is so far from that. This is taking that next step of faith. Our pastors have been speaking on faith in their sermons for a while now. God is telling us it's time.
We will temporarily be moving back to our original building at 1934 McDonald Ave in New Albany. The church that is currently renting that building from us (Revolution Church) will continue to rent it also. They are going to be moving their service time. Our service times will stay the same. They have been diligent renters and we want to continue to bless them.
Right now, our amazing Mr. Steve Hall is looking into the church possibly buying some property to build on in the future. He is also looking at other buildings. Either way we will stay at the McDonald Ave location until the funds have been saved to buy or build something. The move will take place towards the end of January.
Please be in prayer that the move goes smoothly and that we continue to grow and minister in ways we never thought possible. God is opening doors for Emmaus Road Church. So buckle up, hang on and let's see what He does. I personally can't wait to see what's next.
